My wish for the New Year:
I reflect as we close out 2014 on the strong voices for change that have influenced our time- Pete Seger, Theo Colburn, and the legacy of Rachel Carson and Jonas Salk. We see the impact of concerted community voices in the New York ban on hydraulic fracturing for fossil gas development, and we have hope for shifting our economy to a more viable future.
May we raise a chorus of strong voices –
Pleading to protect the living environment so we can be healthy;
Working together for justice so we can have peace;
Standing for social equity so we can all share prosperity; and
Demanding accountability from those in power so we can all have freedom.
In this Season of sharing thanks and blessings among those we care about, I thank all of you my Colleagues and Friends for all you do to make the world a better place!
